Over 1.8 million customer’s credit card information was stolen from sports gear websites by hackers

A massive cyberattack was recently revealed and published by four well-known affiliated online sports gear websites. More than 1.8 million customers’ credit card information was accessed and stolen in this cyberattack.

The four affected sports gear websites are:

1. Running Warehouse LLC
2. Skate Warehouse LLC 
3. Tennis Warehouse LCC
4. Tackle Warehouse LLC

A law company representing these four sports gear websites has revealed that a data breach occurred on October 1st, 2021, in which hackers compromised personal information and credit card information; for the time being, the business has only provided this much information.

The following data of the customers were said to be compromised. 

• Full name
• Financial account number
• Credit card number
• Credit card CVV number
• Debit card number
• Debit card CVV number
• Website account password

Customers affected by the four websites were contacted on December 16th, 2021. The sites have not yet revealed the reason for the security compromise; as a result, the real way of getting the data is unknown

However, customers who have been affected or have purchased anything from these sites should keep a check on their bank and credit card statements, and you should be wary of incoming messages and report any strange activity right away.
