Dark Web’s Largest Marketplace for Stolen Credit Cards is Closing Down

UniCC was one of the major marketplaces for stolen credit card merchants on the dark web, despite the fact that numerous other suppliers were available. They’ve been in the industry since 2013, and their cryptocurrency profits total $358 million. However, after making a huge profit in purchases using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether, and Dash, they have announced that they are shutting down.

The stolen cards are valuable because fraudsters may still use them to purchase high-value products or gift cards. These can subsequently be resold for cash by the criminals. These revenues are thought to be sufficient for criminals to retire and the activities to be halted. It is based on a notice of retirement that was posted in both Russian and English dark web communities.

The site specializes in credit card theft and the selling of stolen personal information that may subsequently be used to make payments and unlawful transactions with cloned cards. This is known as carding, and it can result in identity theft. Anonymous hackers allowed users ten days to spend their platform balances before the domain and linked sites were shut down.
